This is a straight rye whiskey from Ezra Brooks, a long-running American whiskey brand. Excellent for enjoying in a Manhattan.
Vanilla, cedar, white pepper and some earthy rye spices.
Layers of white chocolate and fudge, with more of those characteristic rye notes floating through.
Apricot and banana chips, with a touch of honey.

I’ve tried many others all of which I enjoy.. but I come back to this one time after time and it’s yet to be beaten.
Smooth for a 90 proof - doesn't need any dilution. Good, straightforward rye, sweet, with a hint of fruit sherbert at the finish.
I'm new to rhy whisky and I found this to be a nice drink though a little punchy but unapologetically so! More of a sipping whisky! Would be great in a hip flask on freezing mornings of winter!, it would certainly warm your cockles that for sure! Lol
I now have 3 different bottles that are made from MGP, Indiana 95% rye mash bill "juice". Mine are: Dickel Rye, Ezra Brooks Rye and Rebell Yell Rye. They are all good for the money AND they're all noticeably different. Different enough to be considered distinct whiskies. So please don't think that it's "same" as any other MGP 95/5 rye. I'm enjoying all 3.
MGP Indiana rye, same as what goes into Bulleit and others, which means it's a 95% rye mash bill. A big, spicy, in-your-face rye. It's younger than the Bulleit but also only two-thirds the price here in Tokyo. Well worth a try if you like bold ryes.
