Edradour Ballechin 9 Year Old 2005 (cask 406) - Trilogy
Part of a trilogy of releases from Edradour distillery (bottled for La Maison du Whisky) of their Ballechin (peated) single malt matured in different casks. With peated whisky hogshead and Manzanilla cask the others in the range, this is the most 'normal' having been aged in ex-bourbon casks.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Vanilla and smoky oak, a hint of tar, floral green cereal and Jelly Tots.
Palate
Oily with wood spice, peaty poached pear, bracken and chestnut.
Finish
Toasty spices with a herbal edge.
