Over two decades of craftsmanship have gone into this 22-year-old single malt Scotch whisky from Edradour. Distilled in October 1999, when Christina Aguilera's 'Genie in a Bottle' was topping the charts, this whisky slumbered in ex-bourbon hogsheads for a spell, before finishing in ex-Bordeaux casks. In April 2022 the whisky was released, at a punchy 55.8% ABV with an outturn of 576 bottles.
Plenty of red wine character, ripe cherries, blackcurrants, warm caramel, and cocoa nibs.
Toasty oak, juicy blackberries, spiced fruit compote, dark chocolate, and vanilla crème fraîche.
Baking spices linger, with malty grist.
