Single cask Edradour single malt, handsomely bottled in Ibisco decanters. This one was distilled back in June 2005 and left to mature in cask #138 for 13 years, after which it was bottled at cask strength in August 2018 - a hefty 62.2% ABV. 628 bottles (or rather, decanters) were produced.
Punchy red fruit notes right from the first nose, with damson and raisin both in leading roles.
Continued fruit, now backed up by hints of chocolate, musty oak and clove. Quite peppery at points.
Warming cassia, cinnamon and more peppercorn.

A wonderful cask strength, fully aged in a single sherry cask. The cask used must have contained sherry for at least several decades, for this whisky contains rich notes of raisins and roasted nuts. Incredibly intense and with a thick mouth feel! One for special occasions only
