Bourbon
From the Edradour Distillery and its snazzy Ibsico Decanter series comes a 13 year old single malt Scotch whisky which has been given a maturation in bourbon casks. It was distilled in 2007 and left to age for a baker's dozen years, before eventually being bottled decantered up at 58.7% ABV.
Apples, almonds, marzipan, sawdust, a hint of blueberry muffin.
Banana chips and caramelised nuts, with a good dusting of cinnamon and cocoa.
Melted butter on crumpets, though still quite fruity.
