Edradour is one of Scotland's smallest distilleries and at the heart of the range, this 10 year old Eastern Highlander is a rather unique single malt, a decidedly rum-like dram with a thick mouthfeel. The distillery’s methods of production remain virtually unchanged in the last 150 years, and we can see why. If it ain’t broke and all that. This single malt’s decade of ageing was spent in a combination of oloroso sherry and bourbon casks.
Medium, great complexity. Thoroughly fruity, sherry, sweetness, alluring vanilla.
Cloying, seductive murkiness. Rum, barley, toasted almonds.
Spiced fruitcake with crème anglaise.

Tell me if I'm wrong, but it seems that most of the other distilleries these days are cashing in on the gotta-have-more-peat craze, to the point that that is all they taste like - PEAT PEAT and more PEAT, So it's so refreshing to have a malt like Edradour 10 that is just being itself and how lovely that is,
Having worked in Edradour distillery for 5 years, lived in the little cottage over the burn (Ashbrook,"now a shop")I know the time and care that goes into making a truely delicious wee dram enjoyed world wide.
An all-time great despite the diminutive size of the distillery. Perfect for Christmas..!
Toured the distillery recently, after being given a taste by my son. Outstanding, probably the best whiskey I have tasted. Brought a couple of bottles home, nearly knocked them off, so have ordered some more. Rob Saunders
Always a great experience with every glass. But very hard to find one.
