Sherry
Edradour are well-known for making some spectacularly well-Sherried Highland single malts, particularly with their Straight From The Cask range. This release comes from said range, and features whisky distilled in November 2006 and aged in a single Sherry butt for 10 years. In December 2016, it was bottled at 59% ABV, with an outturn of 941 bottles.
Mince pie filling, candied peels and shortbread biscuits.
A slight touch of smoke hides behind layers of Sherried spices and rich malt.
Chocolatey, and more than a bit spicy, too.
