Wine Cask
10 year old single malt from the Edradour distillery, aged in a cask that previously held Madeira wine! This was distilled in May 2006 and left to age until March 2017 before being bottled at full strength for their Straight From The Cask range. Only 447 bottles were produced, each with their own little wooden crate!
Seville orange and mint leaf. Plenty of rich malt and nutty brown bread notes, too.
Christmas-y spices pick up speed on the palate, though sweet orange notes continue to dominate.
Politely oak-y. Lingering warmth of cinnamon.
