From Edradour's handsomely packaged Straight from the Cask range, this was distilled on the 26th November 2001 and aged in a single sherry butt (number 1015) before bottling after 10 years on the 24th January 2012. A release 970 bottles at natural cask strength, with a beautifully dark hue!
Oodles of sherry on the nose - Armagnac, plums, brandy butter, hints of nutmeg, walnut loaf and strawberry.
Edradour's signature rum-like mouth-feel, with thick, sweet spices, cooked apple, damson gin, cedar and malt.
A long, spiced finish with sherry and oak.
