Edradour's heavily peated spirit Ballechin is a fan favourite for good reason, so we don't expect this one to hang around. It was matured for 15 years in first-fill bourbon barrels and second-fill Oloroso sherry butts before being bottled at a cask strength of 58.9%. We love when peat and sherry come together like this.
Through peppermint, peat, and winter spice comes blackcurrant compote, apples, and nuts.
Meaty malt and smoke provide a bedrock that notes of raisins, dark chocolate, and honey-roasted nuts settle on.
A little salty, sweet, and smoky.
