Another brilliant Ballechin release, the name under which heavily peated single malts from Edradour are released. Distilled in 2007, this expression spent the next 11 years in one single Bordeaux wine cask, until it was bottled in 2018 for the Straight from the Cask series. 385 bottles were turned out at natural cask strength.
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Smooth salted caramel, toasted almonds, malty cereal, chocolate covered berries and maple syrup.
Peat smoke and wine sweetness intertwine, with red grapes, charred forest fruits and cinnamon.
Warming baking spices and liquorice, with a whisper of smoke remaining.
