Edradour
Scotland
Single Malt
Edradour is one of Scotland's smallest distilleries and at the heart of the range, this 10 year old Eastern Highlander is a rather unique single malt, a decidedly rum-like dram with a thick mouthfeel. The distillery’s methods of production remain virtually unchanged in the last 150 years, and we can see why. If it ain’t broke and all that. This single malt’s decade of ageing was spent in a combination of oloroso sherry and bourbon casks.
Medium, great complexity. Thoroughly fruity, sherry, sweetness, alluring vanilla.
Cloying, seductive murkiness. Rum, barley, toasted almonds.
Spiced fruitcake with crème anglaise.

Edradour is probably one of my favourites and was discovered (by me) entirely by accident. A few years ago my wife and son got me a bottle of Edradour 10 year for Christmas. Then I got a bottle of Edradour Caledonia 12 year the following year. These two have become my "DD" (daily drinkers), and always have top-shelf place in my drinks cabinet. A fresh stock of both arrived today and I am enjoying a nice glass of the 10 year as I type this. You should definitely give this one a try. The colour, the flavour... You will not be disappointed.
Wow! I don't usually take the time to get online and review a whisky but dam this one is worth it. Very rich and full of flavor. Their 12 year has been one of my all time favorites but both me and my brother preferred this to the 12 when compared side by side. The 12 is definitely a more traditional taste but something about the 10 is super unique and amazing. Definitely worth a try!!!
Can’t figure out what I’m tasting but I don’t particularly like it. Is it soap? Whatever it is the new whisky from Lindores has the same taste. I’ll be trying more to figure it out though.
Got this as a Xmas gift...finished on Hogmanay lol.love the hint of vanilla.
Has a strong nutmeg taste, I didn't like this scotch, everyone has a unique palate but not for me.
