This is a 12 Year Old Irish whiskey from Dunville's Very Rare range, which has been matured exclusively in Pedro Ximénez casks! Once the whiskey was sufficiently sherried, it was bottled up at 46% ABV in this rather fetching vessel, looking like it came right out of a time machine.
Spiced vanilla cream, with cinnamon, praline and plump sultana.
Sweet and mouthfilling, with more baking spice, strawberry laces, fresh custard and grape skin.
Stewed apple and dark chocolate-covered raisins.
$34.15 - $118.50
My favourite whiskey by far. Yes, it’s expensive, but unique. Much more interesting than Bushmills or Red Breast.
The 10 yr (RIP) was 50 noupes & worth the money. But an extra 45 quid for 2 more years in the wood... Whats the craic like!
Even if this was a 15YO it would be too expensive. Bushmils 16 is cheaper than this ffs I will never buy this at this price on principle even though I live 8 miles from Belfast
I rather enjoyed this Irish Single Malt. However, I can’t recommend this at £94 RRP a bottle. I think the producers have seriously made a boo boo with their pricing. There are many other Irish options that are significantly cheaper which are equally as good as this (sourced Whisky). All accounts suggest it’s Cooley distillery which makes sense in my mind.
Very good whiskey its my no 1 but over priced sorry to say
