A peaty expression from the Dunville's range, which was relaunched in 2016 after falling off the map in the 1930s. This was made with a blend of single malt and single grain Irish whiskeys which was allowed a finishing period in peated cask to add its distinctive smokiness. Exciting stuff, as peaty Irish whiskeys are not a common sight - and that's quite an understatement, frankly.
Toffee and roasted coffee bean. Orchard fruit notes develop with a drop of water.
Apricot, salted caramel, a touch of blackberry followed by basil leaf.
A sweet finish of butterscotch and honey.
The new Danville not bad at all not as peaty as our Islay buddies but still a very good Irish whiskey not cheap but worth a punt cheers
Not a real whiskey drinker but think this is better than Any other Smooth and very easy on the palate. Recommend this anytime
