Released under the recently revived Dunville's name, which originally began trading in whiskey all the way back in 1808, comes this splendid blended Irish whiskey. Combining pot still malt and grain whiskeys, this is a fab sipper and a great option to have handy when rustling up some whiskey cocktails!
Creamy vanilla leads with crisp green apples and pears, syrupy flapjack and biscuity malt balance gentle wafts of sweet citrus zest.
Silky grain, crumbly vanilla fudge, and sweet cake spice with more orchard fruits lead to warming prickles of pepper, and toasted oak.
Drying oak with whisps of smoke, still sweet with buttery spice and dried fruit.
I tasted this on the ferry from Dublin to Holyhead. This and the 2 more premium offerings from Dunville. I purchased this and for several weeks this was the bottle I reached for for a bed time dram. Warm, fairly sweet, just a big hug. not the most sophisticated, but it gave a lot of joy.
