A glorious mystery bottling here, released by Duncan Taylor for its Dimensions range. This blended malt Scotch whisky was distilled in 2008, matured in a single sherry cask for 13 years, and finally bottled in 2021 under the Auchindoun name, with an outturn of 191 bottles. Whilst we don't know precisely where the whisky comes from, it certainly has all the classic character we'd associate with a rich, sherried Speysider.
Sweet almonds, toasted pecans, prunes, and vanilla caramel.
Rich, malty toasted oak, honeyed dates, sherried sultanas, and dark berries.
Chocolate digestives, boozy figs, vanilla, and crystalised fruit.
