Single cask single grain from the Dumbarton Distillery here, which was matured for 20 years before The Vintage Malt Whisky Co. bottled it up for The Cooper's Choice range. It was distilled back in November 2000, set aside to mature in a bourbon cask, and then bottled two decades later in 2021 with an outturn of 246 bottles.
Waxy peels, honeyed cereals and some floral vanilla. Perhaps a touch of flint, too.
Juicy apricot and guava, balanced by salted caramel and shortbread.
Another helping of tropical fruit on the finish - pineapple, mango and more guava.
