Dufftown Artisan 1l Bottling Note

The Artisan is one of the Singleton of Dufftown's single malts originally released for Travel Retail. At the top of their range, this expression enjoys a finishing period in hand-selected Pedro Ximénez casks, resulting in touches of sweet, wine-like tastiness alongside notes of crystallised ginger and rich orchard fruit.

Decided to try this as it was on special for $65. Wasn't expecting too much, but boy was I wrong.

Poured a Dram and let it sit for 15 minutes, no ice.

So smooth with a decent finish.

One of my favorites.

Very tasty bottle
I acquired this bottle from someone who was given a gift and then sold it on to me for a decent price. I have to say I was really quite surprised at the smoothness and nice finish.

Fragile
Interesting one this. Nothing to get to exited about on the nose. On the palate definitly oranges and red fruit, also chocolate and brown sugar. Very smooth but the finish is short. Added some water but it's to fragile. Nice one if you want to add some variation to your collection but i think it's overpriced.
