A straightforward, nutty and malty single malt from Speyside, the Singleton of Dufftown was released to replace the Singleton of Auchroisk. It’s aged in a high proportion of European oak casks.
If you're looking to use this little stunner in a cocktail, then you could do a lot worse than making a classic Highball. Or how about a signature Singleton serve?
Reach for the Peach
45ml of The Singleton
30ml of peach iced tea
90ml of soda water
Optional: 2 dashes of absinthe
Build all ingredients in an ice-filled Highball glass, give it a good stir, and garnish with a twist of lemon zest.
Malty with cereal/barley sweetness, buttery toast, wood shavings, hay and walnut.
Orange zest spiciness perks up a malty core of nuts, oak and toffee, hints of cut grass.
Oaky, rich with good length, some fruit lingers.

Absolutely first class. Nuff said. This was bought as a leaving gift from my work mates. To take the time and effort to get this a gift for me was truly humbling. I'll treasure this. I only tried my first single malt on a jaunt in the cairngorms in the summer. I was so takentthat I couldn't wait to buy a bottle. For my friends to do me this honour is wonderful.
This one my dad, Andrew bought for me. Was included as 1 of 4 little bottles in a whisky set. I chose one at random and sat down to drink. Never really drank much whiskey but this has opened the door for me to try more. Singleton melts when it hits your lips then spreads and smothers more of your taste buds. Sweet and a little spicy, really great taste. I do want more, thats why i ended up here, after searching for Singleton. 8/10. My journey into the vast tastes has really only just begun so i'm leaving room for improvement ;p
My favourite whisky, very easy to drink ... almost too easy.
I love this whiskey! Veeery smooth, perfect served neat!
World Whiskies Awards 2012 - Singleton of Dufftown 12yo wins - "Best Speyside 12 years and under"! I like this malt!!!
