A fun idea, definitely more interesting than the version with small chocolates that I recall from childhood.Unfortunately, I'm disappointed that only about a third of the samples I've opened (so far) are distillery bottlings with age and/or vintage statements. The preponderance of "whiskies of the world" really surprised me. Overall, and keeping in mind the price point, too many of the samples are not "premium".

...and it's barely begun. I'm five days into the Premium Advent Calendar and I love it. A great way to sample different whiskeys. Last night I had my first Japanese scotch and I was blown away by it. I just wish December were 40 days long.

Just opened with a 40 year old whisky, I wont spoil the surprise, but simply amazing. Dark cherry, chocolate and leather, rich, complex and long lasting taste in the mouth. I am very much looking forward to tomorrow evenings offering.
Where is your Kentucky Bourbon Calendar? I was all ready to buy one.....Disappointed
