The famous Dewar's blend aged for 18 years then married in a vat for an extended period, hence the name 'Double Aged'.
Dry, grassy, hay; faintly scented with cloves and smouldering gently in the sun.
A freshly opened pack of oatcakes ever so lightly smoked over a peat fire
Biscuits and fresh cut grass.
This is an easy drinking malt with grass and hay on the nose and biscuits on the palate.
top flavor some not pleasant chemical either dirty socks or underwear smell. second layer is much pleasant sherry flavor. no bitterness which is good, but not complex .
Nice for the price, smooth, medium complexity and length. Worth a try!!!
A decent scotch. Don't believe the people who haven't tried it, but gave it a bad review. They don't know what they're talking about. Try it, and if you like it, drink it. Don't worry about what other people think.
I haven't tried it, but why screw around with a "marriage in a VAT [not a cask] for an extended period [of unspecified duration]" when you can get a fully pedigreed single malt like Balvenie Caribbean Cask for $65 that's like drinking liquid gold?
A Super tasty and wonderful drink.
