Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: A good balance of Sherried spices, nutty elements and apple skin.

Palate: Oily walnut leading into fresh malt and sultanas. Chewy vanilla toffee.

Finish: More sweet dried fruit notes with touch of grassiness.

Dewar's 15 Year Old - The Monarch (1L) Reviews

Okay nothing great, apart from the fancy package.

So average, no complexity! I can't understand why you so much high ratings apart from the fancy verbiage on the package, the bottle content is completely mellow, put them in a pack of other bottles, you won't know its dewars 15!

Meh

Non descript blend. Zero complexity without being bland. Much better out there than this.

Not my style

An earlier review (big disappointment) stated very thin, watery etc, unfortunately for Dewars lovers I have to agree with that review completely. After reading all the 5 star reviews I expected better. Just can’t find anything exiting about it. It’s sweet and sugary with a burn on the throat.

Will miss you.

Wow, Simply superb enjoyed with just three teaspoons (15ml) of water in a 50ml shot, sipped slow, not to be gulped down in a mad rush.
Sad it's discontinued. will miss the remarkably pleasant firest encounter and the smooth finish, with no harsh after taste. this is my humble opinion.

Smells of poison at base of container

I bought one at Duty Free Zon at Bukit Kayu Hitam border with Thailand and Malaysia, at Malaysian side. The base of plastic smells like poisonous chemical. Please clarify. The smell has gone into the whisky.

Fantastic

Fantastic. I had this first time and I loved it so much. I got this at Dubai airport difficult to find where I live.

Fantastic

One of the smoothest whiskies I have ever had and trust me I’ve had loads. It’s bursting with flavour for me I got the sweet taste of sultanas followed by a long lasting spice that stayed in my mouth for ages after. After the glass is empty leave for a few mins and you can really smell the sultanas and dried fruits. I’m not normally a big fan of blends but this is class!!!

Hard to find 15 and 18 year old

It is hard to find the 15 and 18 year old editions right now. I can taste the Aberfeldy in the blend. You can get the Aberfeldy 18 year old as a single malt from duty free locations, however it is considerably more expensive than this. I absolutely love Dewar's for the smooth sweet taste.
