Gone Grant 31 Year Old 1993 - Whisky Sponge Edition No.89 (Decadent Drinks)
Whisky Sponge Edition No.89 is a single malt from an undisclosed Speyside distillery. The brand has dubbed it 'Gone Grant' (brilliant) and says it sounds like ‘Cap her sporran itch’. So far we've ruled out Dallas Dhu but now we're drawing a blank.
Back to the whisky, it was distilled and filled in 1993 and then matured for 31 years in a single second-fill barrel before it was bottled at cask strength. As we love the brand's descriptions, here's an idea of what to expect straight from the sponge's mouth:
"It tastes like delicious, easy-drinking, full-bodied, old-style Speyside malt whisky. And if that sounds like your sort of gig, then you had jolly well better buy a bottle or two of this whisky, goddammit!"
