Originally released for sale exclusively at the Deanston distillery and on its website, this is its Winter Festival 2023 edition. Distilled in 2007, the single malt was treated to a finish in Burgundy wine casks before bottling, bringing a velvety texture and generous layers of nutty, seasonal spice.
Dried fruit, raisin pastries, marzipan, and a touch of oily pine.
Wintery spices lead the way, with cloves and orange wheels joined by dried figs and dates.
Honeyed nuts, dark chocolate fruits, a touch of cranberry, and tannic, leathery oak.
