A 20 year old single malt from Deanston, featuring a label that pays homage to the decade that the distillery was opened - the 1960s. A pair of hippies watch on as the stills get delivered to the old cotton mill where tasty Highland whisky would soon be created. Another wonderful indie bottling from That Boutique-y Whisky Company.

‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains, blended malts, blends and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic-novel-style labels.
Dried grass, apricot yogurt and salted butter on brown bread is followed by earthy vanilla with lemon sponge and golden syrup. Flickers of nutmeg are present too, among a little ash and flint.
The palate has a rich oiliness that’s very pleasant. There’s acacia honey here, drizzled over toast, and elements of beeswax and bourbon-esque vanilla. Golden cereals develop, which pink grapefruit and orange rind add a citrus aspect to.
More honey and barley sweetness lingers among a creamy nutty suggestion.
