Not as good as the 18yo, but a decent drink
OK, but too resinous for my taste. Light and bright on the palate. A drop of water and some time in the glass help, but still challenging. I love Deanston 12 yo, and prefer that over this one. It is also less cash, and therefore a better buy.
My nose is always off so cannot comment there. Palate is diffently lightly apple, pear, possibly grapes. Finish is slightly hot with cedar.
Lovely crisp nose with some bread pudding, fruitier on the palate and nicely complex with an alluring dryness that is not overpowering. Finish is fresher again with some citrus and medium long. Excellent
Had to comment on this one of my favourites. Definitely one for people who like their whiskies fresh. There's a white wine quality to the nose. Palate has light citrus and a kind of bright buttery warm sweetness with slightly hot pepper in the finish.
