A splendid addition to The Golden Cask collection of independently bottled whiskies from House of Macduff. Distilled at Deanston in 2009, this single malt spent a dozen years in an ex-bourbon cask, before being bottled up at a robust 65.2% ABV. A release of 284 bottles.
Rich barley, toasted oak, and zesty peels with soft pears and a dusting of cinnamon.
Creamy lemon curd, a hint of ginger, and waxy honeycomb. Earthy vanilla and coffee nestle beneath.
Floral malt and drizzles of honey finish things off, with buttery oak and delicate spice.
