Reviews for Deanston 10 Year Old Bordeaux Red Wine Cask Finish
Fine wine!
I have never been disappointed with any wine cask finish whisky's so far and this did not change that opinion in any way. I found this to be very good and found the usual sweetness of dark fruits followed by the 'tanin kick', whereby the sweetness drops off and followed by the dryness from the red wine. Overall, I am pleased with this and happy to have in my 'wee' collection!

The perfect marriage
This is insanely nice whisky. The red wine influence fits the Deanston flavour perfectly. I think I have to get another bottle while I still can.

Possibly the best Deanston yet at the price.
Delicious and even more rich with that Deanston-y spice finish complementing the Bordeaux flavours. An instant favourite.

Fantastic value & clear red wine cask influence
For the money, this really is a fantastic single malt. Even better if you're a fan of red wine AND whisky!
For the money, it's another superb malt from Deanston.

Tart and sharp, definitely a red wine finish
Nose; Rich and fruity with clear red wine influence. Red apples, floral honey, beeswax candles, sharp raspberry and cranberries, buttery crust fruit pie, marzipan fruit cake, dark chocolate covered cherries, a little musky spice, wet tobacco and subtle spearmint.
Palate; Bright and sharp arrival which become dry and spirity. Waxy mouthfeel, sharp red currants, a little acidity and dry red wine notes, spicy-dry chocolate and oak notes, pepper, ginger, dark raisins.
Finish; Tart and dry. Sweet candied ginger, orange liquor with lingering dark alcohol chocolate.
