A whisky all the way from the sunny South West of England - Dartmoor, specifically! This English single malt was fully matured in Oloroso sherry casks, after being distilled in a still that originated in Cognac, under the watchful eye of master distiller Frank McHardy (previously of Springbank and Bushmills). Packed full of familiar sherried elements, this one. Dried fruit, chocolate, ginger, the lot of them.
Red berry jam on toast, almond pastries and a touch of coconut ice.
Chocolatey at first, before a kick of stem ginger and chewy dates arrive.
Gingerbread, brown sugar and dry malt.

Expensive but worth every penny. Smooth and sweet, it's by far the best one from this distillery
No way is this 90 quid. I’d consider this at half the price. Nice nose, but harsh in the mouth and dry in the finish. The Bordeaux finish is better
As a lover of sherry cask whisky I was not particularly impressed with this one. It has a lovely smell and initial taste, but it has a bit of a harsh bite on the aftertaste. Needs water in it to make it palatable. Not worth the pricetag IMHO.
