A cracking Campbeltown blended malt, bottled by as part of the Darkness range! This 5 year old expression was treated to a finishing period in a Moscatel sherry octave cask, which is much smaller than your standard cask, leading to more interaction between the wood and the whisky due to the greater surface area to volume ratio. The result is an expression boasting big helpings of full-bodied sherry notes.
Classic Campbeltown salinity, with hints of salted crackers and earthy oak, balanced by hints of apricot sweetness.
Red berry notes take shape on the palate, alongside a touch of salted peanuts.
