Yummy Oloroso-Sherry-cask-finished Dalwhinnie single malt Scotch whisky, release as part of the Distillers Edition series. This is the 1998 vintage Dalwhinnie Distillers Edition, which was bottled in 2015 at 43% ABV.
Dark chocolate and honey'd malt (almost a bit Crunchie like). A floral whiff of heather.
The Sherry finish comes to the fore on the palate, with plenty of sweet, rich, fruity notes coming through.
Continued honey sweetness lasts.

Bought this on impulse without doing any research. I've bought a few duds in the past using this method. This bottle is not one of them. Very tasty dram! Strong sherry finish. No need for water. I would definitely buy this again.
Do not like this style. I am a huge fan of Highlands. Love, Dalmore, Glenmorangie, Oban, etc. This tastes like cinnamon. Thought I'd try something different. Wished I could have smelt it first. Live and learn.
