A 29 year old cask strength bottling from the Dalwhinnie distillery, part of a recent range of well-matured cask strength bottlings, a pear-apple rich expression with dessert wine notes.
Buttery oak, hay, grasses. Barley sweetness. Subtle peat, delicate.
Good body, cooked fruit, malmsey. A little lemon zest, calvados with vanilla cream, desiccated fruit.
Fresh, punchy, honey.
One of the best.
