Dalwhinnie is the single malt distillery renowned for its great value, gentle whiskies. Full of sticky sweetness and a meaty body typical of worm tub distilleries, the Scotch made here was always a blender’s favourite but its own single malts shine too with their flawless, clean, crisp profile. Dalwhinnie 15 Year Old is a standout that has been Dal-winning its way into our hearts for some time now. The Highland single malt was aged in a combination of bourbon and oloroso sherry casks and has just a smidge of smoke running through it to add depth. Delicious stuff.

Reviews for Dalwhinnie 15 Year Old
The gift that keeps on giving!
The first single malt I tried, I keep coming back to it some point every year and it never disappoints. I think people think because it’s approachable and honeyed that it’s not too drawer. However I disagree entirely, every time I try it I find a new subtle note. Beautifully complex with a delightfully long finish. My favourite anytime dram!

No beginning , No middle , No end ....Just plain dull
IMO ..everything of course is only one persons opinion , but for me this is poor .
I have a whisky collection of almost 200 bottles and have recently been on a journey of re.tasting all of the the sensible priced Scotch/Malts ...Deanston 12 , Clynleish 14 , Loch Lomond 12 , Arran 10 , AcNoc 12 , Glen Scotia Double Cask etc etc ...All were enjoyed , there's good value and quality to be had !
Dalwhinnie 15 , always a soft , easy tipple , but for me brings absolutely nothing , poor casks , a poor whisky ...Checkout any of the above this is 15 years wasted !!!

Lovely sipping whiskey
Lovely and tasty with a very slight hint of smokeiness. Well worth it.

A lofty dram from the highlands
I have tried a few drams in this scenic mountain distillery and this is my favourite, full of the character I think is required in a malt of this age, and the price is not unreasonable either.
