    Dalwhinnie 15 Year Old

Dalwhinnie is the single malt distillery renowned for its great value, gentle whiskies. Full of sticky sweetness and a meaty body typical of worm tub distilleries, the Scotch made here was always a blender’s favourite but its own single malts shine too with their flawless, clean, crisp profile. Dalwhinnie 15 Year Old is a standout that has been Dal-winning its way into our hearts for some time now. The Highland single malt was aged in a combination of bourbon and oloroso sherry casks and has just a smidge of smoke running through it to add depth. Delicious stuff.

    Palate

Malty. Walnuts steeped in manuka honey with vanilla sponge. Gentle smoke weaves its way through the cereal with a touch of spice.

Very nice but not quite sure

Not sure about this one, it's certainly not bad and I'm no expert, but I get mixed messages on my tongue. Seems quite sweet perhaps, dare I say even a bit fruity?

    A respectable everyday tipple

    A delicate , rounded & smooth malt

Great dry and smooth flavorful Malt.

I've been looking for something a bit simpler for a while now. For years I'd lived the peaty and smoky makes from Islay and Aran but suddenly they didn't appeal anymore. I was looking for something full bodied and dry. I really dislike sweetness in my Whiskey. This was on special at another store and I believe the more mature a Scotch is generally the dryer it gets. The Dalwhinnie 15 yo hit the spot. Lovely and dry, plenty of kick but also very smooth and a great price. Will be my favorite for them time being.

    I'm not getting it

Not so sure about this 15 year. Drinking the Laphroig 10 and the Highland Park 12 along side and the Dalwhinnie is not as enjoyable. Maybe my palate isnt catching the nuance, but my Lagavulin 16 blows my mind. I also love several Balvenie double/port/rum woods, Coal Ila, and Ardbeg. not sure why this Dalwhinnie is not doing it for me. Oh well. Good for my guests!

One of the besr value for money whisky

Superb quality at the price, the go-to whisky if you can't really figure what to drink, very well balanced. I drank this after having sm lousy whisky and it made my evening great. Andy
