A travel retail release of Dalmore single malt Scotch whisky, which is matured in a mix of two types of first fill ex-bourbon casks and Oloroso Sherry butts, then finished in port pipes from the Douro region in Portugal.
Crumbly shortbread drizzled with toffee and dotted with plump raisins. Deeper notes of candied orange peels.
Chocolatey and rich, with treacle and malt loaf. Despite all this decadence, it still shows off some lightly qualities with golden barley and a touch of nutmeg.
Long and warm - plenty of orange aromas and cinnamon.
Dalmore valour an amazing drop of great scotch wisky . My first tipple was filled with a tast sensation like no other , My only regret is I did not purchase a lifetimes supply
Dominant treacle aroma followed by a forgiving blend of citrus and candies on the palate, all wrapped up with the finish of a fine single malt as expected. Difficult to have just a couple
Legs are slow to run, viscous, oily. Nose is toffee, candy, plums cranberries, berries, cherries, blueberries and blackberries. Dried fruits, currants, figs, raisins. First fill ex bourbon cask is most prominent of the casks with the toffee, vanilla, candy, chocolate. Palate is almost identical to the nose, treacle. Finish is long and a note of tannins offering astringency, Puckery. Brilliant blending but what more would we expect from Richard Paterson.
All I can say is "Please Sir, May I have some more Sir"
Lots of nose, lovely soft treacle and Carmel all in the mouth... not much on the finish
