The Dalmore Dominium is part of the Fortuna Meritas Collection originally released for travel retail with Dominium the most premium offering in the range. It's finished in first fill Matusalem Sherry casks. The name literally means 'ownership' and is in reference to when the Mackenzie clan saved King Alexander III from a charging stag, from which point they were granted use of the royal stag emblem.

Big Wow

This has been boxed and beckoning me rather seductively since last Xmas, and I’m proud of my restraint all this time. But this was worth the wait - delicious, deep, smooth and full of fruits and spices, and that lovely Sherry finish. This is a Dalmore taken to a wonderful extreme - all the best qualities of this fine whiskey are exemplified and subtly exaggerated. Beautiful

Smooth and warming, and very, very drinkable.

One of Dalmore's travel fortuna merita collection today. First opening of the year, and may be last for a while. Dalmore Dominium 43%. Stunning this.. Lots of fruits. Pineapple is one that creeps out from under the sherry, ginger cinnamon etc. Smooth and warming, and very, very drinkable. Too drinkable. A nice controlled finish too. Lovely stuff. struth
