A fabulous single cask 27 year old Dalmore bottled at a cask strength of 54.6% ABV for the Mackillop's Choice range in September 2017. This single malt Scotch whisky was distilled in 26 January 1990, and bottled without chill-filtration, producing a limited outturn of 205 bottles.
Toffee and Seville orange zest lead, with malty cereal and creamy vanilla fudge emerging. Blackcurrants, rich coffee beans and praline chocolate make for a beautiful backdrop.
Sweeter and fruitier than the nose, winter berries, passion fruit and caramelised peaches all rise, amongst freshly baked bread and exotic spices. There's a slightly peppery note, with some well-integrated oak.
Long, confident and varied, there's suggestions of tangerines dipped in chocolate, Turkish delight and marzipan.
