In 2013 Dalmore extended their core range of stunning whiskies with the Dalmore 25 Year Old. As a distillery that has a history of using an intricate selection of maturing methods, the 25 Year Old continues that tradition. First, it matured in American white oak cask. After that, it was hand-divided into 25 year old Palomino Fino sherry butts and 1980s first-fill bourbon casks. These whiskies are then married together in bourbon barrels and finished in Tawny Port pipes from Portugal.
Vanilla pods and soft fig cake and orange peel.
Citrus, sherry soaked raisins and luxury chocolate truffles.
Demerara sugar and bitter dark chocolate.
Top quality whisky, through and through.
Best stuff you can get from Dalmore without paying more than 2k. Notes of chocolate, sherry dipped raisins, and maple. Love this stuff.
By far the most enjoyable whiskey I've had. The only negative, it lessened my opinion of what was my favorite. . And I would have never believed that 18yr Glenlivet would taste weak, and unfull.
