Bourbon

14-year-old single malt from Dalmore, independently bottled by us as part of our Single Cask Series. This one was distilled in April 2003 and left to age in a bourbon cask until March 2018, when it was bottled at cask strength.
Sultana, dusty oak and new leather, hints of fresh pear drenched in honey.
Hugely chocolatey, though pear notes still shine through. A hint of hoppy bitterness.
Fizzy oak, foam bananas and greengages.

Easily the best scotch whisky I have tasted. Very complex nose, heavy on the vanilla, raisins and pears. Lovely taste of vanilla, pears and green apples. Sensational mouthfeel as it coats your entire mouth with a long after taste. Extremely smooth to the nose and taste despite being at 57% abv. Dalmore should consider single cask releases at cask strength as i feel they have been too heavily focused on sherry finishes. I love all expressions from Dalmore but this easily is the best expression I had coming out of their distillery.
