This indie 2005 Dalmore spent over a decade maturing in a single refill bourbon barrel. After 13 years, Gordon & MacPhail emptied the cask in July 2019, bottling up the single malt at 57.9% ABV as part of its Connoisseurs Choice series, with an outturn of 251 bottles.
Floral malt and orange marmalade (without the peel) on buttered toast, with a waft of citrus blossom too.
Apple cake alongside chocolate and banana loaf, with a scattering of white pepper and new leather.
Spicy oak and cut grass, with earthy vanilla and black pepper.
