Who doesn't love some Dailuaine? Certainly, Scotch indie bottler Thompson Bros. can't get enough, because it keeps snapping up casks to bottle, as it did with this treat from 2010. It's presented at 12 years old, with just 266 bottles at 50% ABV each.
Aromatic nutmeg and plenty of orchard fruit are joined by a subtle hint of toasted barley smokiness.
Crème brûlée and poached pears are at the core of the palate, with licks of heather honey and a spicy kick of pepper bringing depth
Garden herbs add some bittersweet qualities to the finish.
