We're splitting this MoM exclusive single cask between a bottle lottery, charity auction, and 30ml drams to give as many people as possible the chance to taste this exciting limited whisky.
Daftmill is a family-owned seasonal farm distillery who fill as few as 100 casks a year of their highly-sought after single malt. The selected whisky was made with a barley variety called Optic, grown in the farm's south field in August 2006. It was malted in Alloa in the summer of 2007, distilled in the farm's winter season and filled into an ex-bourbon barrel on 28 April, before being bottled in 2021 at 56.6% ABV.

Reverend Al Green sang "Simply Beautiful" it's an astounding song.. so after my first Taste of this beautiful dram I had to marry the two together. I did... I put the record on.. sat back and poured my second. Heaven.. try it.. i'm not joking This experience is Untold.. 5 stars.. OUTSTANDING!!!
It’s the first time I’ve tried a Daftmill, and boy it packs a punch, in a positive way for me anyways. To the nose it had a citrus smell at first, but then in the background which creeps forward after the initial smell is the sweet smell of toffee, and caramel. To the taste, as I said it packs a punch. The only way I can describe it, is that it’s like eating a chilli that first have the heat, but you have the tingle, which hits the lips, and the tongue, which I find pleasant. Then when that settles, you take that first breath in, then boom!!! Like you just had a pack of mints, but it’s like black pepper.. then it just settles down quite quickly, and that toffee, caramel flavour just lingers…. So so nice. Highly recommend it to the lovers of chilli heat , which is with every sip, but just sit back and enjoy it settles Ann’s wait for those sweet flavours to come forward.
