The most famous of all the Canadian whiskies, Crown Royal is made with over 50 different whiskies, and they've been making it for over 70 years. It was first created in 1939 to celebrate the visit of King George VI to Canada.

love this whisky and I have amazing memories of the first day i drank this whisky
It is impossible to drink it. Like bad vodka for high price.
So here is a little context. I'm a whisky bartender rocking a little bar in QLD Australia. When we got this in I was curious to see if this was any good. Spoiler, it was probably the worst drop I have put in my mouth. The bottle is ugly (screw top) and it tastes and feels worse than CC, which is saying something because Canadian Club is only good for drenching in mixers. TL;DR ---- Better luck next time crown royal.
I don't know much about Canadian whisky, I drank nothing but Canadian Club until I happened upon Crown Royal. I think it's a great whisky in its own right. My first impression was that it was a little dry and the finish was too short. Then next time I tried it, I let it warm a little before nosing and tasting, and I was pleasantly surprised! A full-bodied whisky with vinous fruit and lots of creamy vanilla oak. I think it has a place in any drinks cabinet.
A nasty whiskey, but not as bad as Canadian Club. Don't waste your money.
