Find this curious juice in a positive way -manages to be rich taste depth and impossibly smooth in the same swallow -the finish doesn't perhaps last flavour wise but i find the lingering warmth on the chest a nice compensation
Was once the best rye when Sam Bronfman was alive. His son sold Seagrams to Diageo then lost his shirt making movies in Hollywood. Quality is poor, often flavoured to cover young spirit and lots of caramel added. Buy Gibson's finest 12 year old, Forty Creek Confederation or Tangle Creek. The spicy rye from Waterloo Ontario was once blended with super smooth stuff from Montreal. Quality was once Bronfman's religion the son and corporate turds pooched it for good.
To all the fools giving Crown a bad review.... You do realize Crown Royal Northern Harvest won Whisky of the year in 2016, so they must be doing something right. It's my go-to standard when filling my cart. I'd suggest you stop mixing your whisky with milk and enjoy it on it's own.
Received as a gift, and sadly probably worst whisky I've had, aside from the first edition of the Icelandic offering.
Crown Royal was made for the Queen and the King. And I have never drank a smoother liquor! It had to take 51 blends to reach perfection (perhaps more,) But Perfect it is!
