The most famous of all the Canadian whiskies, Crown Royal is made with over 50 different whiskies, and they've been making it for over 70 years. It was first created in 1939 to celebrate the visit of King George VI to Canada.

Excellent whiskey!!!
Crown Royal is an excellent Canadian whisky/rye that is consistently good. Pour equal parts Crown and Coke in a pint glass, add ice and enjoy. Yes, it's a tad expensive but it won't break the bank as per higher end whiskeys. Crown Royal Cask 16 is also highly recommend drunk neat.
Was presented with bottle of Crown Royal here, in St.Pete,Russia. Initially could not tell from the bottle/sack if it is some cheap swill trying to be solid or some real stuff. Tried it and found that it was not typical one - from one hand dryeish like cheap ones , from the other - it was mellow and gave me noble taste and no wrong connotations at all)) By the way, the morning after half litre was fine. Checked the price here - 45 USD. BR, Arthur
Crown Royal is the worst whiskey ever. Tastes like licking a 9v battery and burns twice as much as drinking the acid from said battery. Good whiskey should warm...not burn. Go with Gentleman Jack or Bullit and you'll have a much better time.
Bought a bottle thinking it would turn me into a lifelong drinker and boy was i wrong. Sure you can mix it, but you can buy something for half the price for that. Overpriced if you didn't get the hint.
