Nose: Hints of smoke atop a superbly biscuity, rich malt the likes of which are unique to Speyside whiskies of this age. Intense and quite sweet and creamy, with dried apricots developing.
Palate: Well rounded and rich, with notes of malt and peach, a little toffee apple and gingernut biscuit.
Finish: Good length with hints of hazelnut and beautiful barley sweetness right up until the very end.
