Very exciting stuff here, folks! This is the first single malt whisky from the Cotswolds Distillery (as well as being the first single malt whisky ever distilled in the Cotswold countryside!). A much-anticipated release, which has been produced using barley grown in the Cotswolds, distilled in their Forsyths copper pot stills (Mary & Janis) and aged in a combination of ex-bourbon and red wine casks. We've been eagerly awaiting this whisky, and we know plenty of you have been too!
The first thing you notice are spicy cereal notes, malt and porridge, then comes the fruit - orange peel and lemon. Grassy and floral flavours followed by marzipan.
Beautiful texture, creamy and round, with sweet citrus fruit and black pepper.
Good length. There’s vanilla custard and a lift of aromatic freshness that will make you want another sip.

This was highly disappointing. This distillery has a fantastic reputation (though that might be related to their more limited releases) but I would not recommend this bottle. The nose isn't bad, but is not aligned in any way with the taste. Only a slight burn, with no immediate taste - the aftertaste on the other hand is just unpleasant. Hoping my next English is a lot better, but I would be willing to try other bottles from Cotswolds.
Lovely whiskey.. Easy on the palate... Spicy and sweet... A smooth flavour... Enjoyed it with lots of ice
This is an exceptional spirit especially considering its young age. Notes of honey, almond, butterscotch candies, a hint of caramel leading into richer tones of over-ripe fruit. On the palate it sings single-malt whisky with rich, vanilla, spicy fruit and a slightly oily finish. It takes on the flavors of the bourbon barrel aging with a hint an essence of Kentucky.
Very fruity and light, but with surprising depth for a young whisky. It's bottled at 46%, adding a little water opened it up quite a lot. The finish is rather short and thin. If you want a nice warming whisky in the depths of winter this isn't it, but with some cold water (or even ice...) and its short finish its a very refreshing drink I could enjoy on a hot day.
Good initial nose and taste, but the finish is awful. Syrupy and not clean. Definitely not one to buy again
