An American single malt produced in Virginia at the Copper Fox distillery. This is made with malt which has been dried using apple and cherry wood!
I am not sure what to make of this whisky after drinking many Scottish Single Malts, well my expectation were not met. It appearance is fine but the nose and taste smelled a great deal like gasoline. And I am trying hard to embrace my local brewers and distillers too.
Had my wife give me a blind taste test with an 8 year Lagavulan (ms), 10year laphroaig, Triple smoke Cosair and Wesmunds. I thought the Wemunds was No1 but the other are very enjoyable as well. I think it matters what mode you in. Smoke or Not. I am looking to try Balcones next.

Sorry, but this is nasty stuff. Strong, strong smell and taste of leather. Two of us tried it, both stopped after one sip because of the seriously disturbing flavor. I paid a lot for the bottle but am pouring it down the drown right now.
I like the grain taste. It's similar to Montana pure malt which you can no longer find. At first i didnt like it. Tried it a second time and now its a favorite.
