Magic Cask is a blended malt Scotch whisky from Compass Box, comprised of whisky from the closed Imperial Distillery drawn from first-fill bourbon barrels, blended with a youthful whisky from an undisclosed Speyside distillery. That Speyside single malt came from a Compass Box maturation trial, having been re-racked into Oloroso-seasoned butt casks. One of those casks (cask #2, in case you were wondering) proved so fascinating that it lead to further experimentation, resulting in Magic Cask!
Ripe plum, a touch of chocolatey malt and something subtle herbaceous wafts.
Fragrant vanilla, peaches and cream, soft oak, cinnamon.
Citrus oils and cocoa last on the finish.
