    Compass Box Hedonism 2026

Compass Box Hedonism 2026 is a blended grain whisky with none other than Karen Gillan on its label. More on that story here, and for a limited time only you can win the chance to meet her in LA!*

Hedonism 2026 sees Compass Box dig deep into its grain whisky reserves and, for the first time, introduce an antique sherry butt into the mix. The backbone is Port Dundas single grain, with 31% aged for 24 years in a refill sherry butt and 28% matured for 20 years in recharred American oak hogshead.

Add parcels from the 2025 and 2024 Hedonism releases, plus 21-year-old blended grain, 20-year-old Cameronbridge, and a 30-year-old Strathclyde, and you’ve got a properly layered composition. It was filled at 46% ABV, natural colour, lightly chill-filtered at 5 microns, with 13,218 bottles drawn in November 2025.

*Competition closes on 17 March 2026. More details on our blog.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Caffè latte and polished oak open the door, followed by cherry compote, raisin, and a gentle dusting of cumin spice. Vanilla fudge, custard, and orange cream swirl through, with hazelnut praline and soft floral lift in the background.

    Palate

Butterscotch, brown sugar, and milk chocolate lead, joined by caramelised apple, nutmeg, and nougat. The antique sherry butt brings a subtle richness and dried fruit depth.

    Finish

Cocoa powder, vanilla, toasted oak, and soft honeyed grain.

    Smooth luxurious taste

Smooth, creamy whisky with lovely vanilla and coconut notes — really easy to sip and enjoy. Feels luxurious without being overpowering; a great bottle when you want something a bit special.

    Smells and tastes divine

This whiskey is the perfect wind down drink for couples. Something for everyone.

    A new height for Hedonism

The sherry influence is a game changer. Still unmistakably Hedonism but with more depth

    Outstanding!

I've always been a fan of Hedonism but this years' release has so much additional depth and character. Slightly concerned I will need to buy another bottle!

    Rachel Jackson Mar 2, 2026

    Disappointing

I know this a blend but over priced hype - not worth the money. No real complexity or depth of flavour
